Upgrading from FREE to Paid Plan: A Step-by-Step Guide

This article provides a step-by-step guide on upgrading from a FREE subscription to a paid plan. You’ll learn how to select a plan, configure billing details, and unlock the full potential of OWOX BI.

Step 1: Navigate to the Subscription Page

1.1. Go to bi.owox.com.

1.2. Open the project menu and select the Subscription option.

Step 2: Access the Upgrade Option

If your OWOX BI project is on the FREE plan and you have Admin access rights, you will see the Upgrade plan button. Click this button to proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Select a Plan and Payment Period

3.1. Choose a payment period that suits your needs.

Switch between Annually and Monthly options using the toggle to see the cost savings. Annual payments allow you to save up to 25%.

3.2. Review available plans. Starting January 2025, OWOX BI offers three subscription plans:

  • Starter: Ideal for single data professionals supporting multiple users. Available for subscription directly on the website.
  • Team: Designed for team collaboration with advanced features. Also available on the website.
  • Corporate: Tailored for large teams with enhanced privacy, security, and support. For this plan, click Get custom quote and complete the Request a 1:1 Demo form. An OWOX manager will offer a personalized solution for your needs.

Click the Select button on your preferred plan to proceed.

Step 4: Customize Your Plan

Depending on the selected plan, you can customize the following options:

  • Starter Plan: Adjust the number of Credits.

  • Team Plan: Adjust the number of Seats.

Step 5: Enter Your Billing Email

Provide a Billing Email to receive invoices and payment notifications.

Note: This email is also used to log in to the Stripe billing portal for managing billing info, downloading invoices, and receiving notifications from Stripe.

 

Step 6: Review Your Choices and Proceed to Checkout

Verify your subscription details that are displayed in the right column. If everything is correct, click the "Continue to checkout" button.

Step 7: Complete Payment

7.1. Review the total payment amount in the left column on the checkout page. This amount is calculated based on your selected options and the remaining days of the month.

Note: The first payment is prorated to align with synchronized billing cycles. Learn more.

7.2. In the right column, select your preferred payment method:

  • Credit or Debit Card

  • Google Pay

Note: If you need a Wire Transfer payment, contact our support team for assistance.

7.3. Enter your billing details and click Subscribe.

Finish. You're all done!

Once the payment is successfully processed, you’ll see a confirmation message. The subscription upgrade may take a few minutes to activate. Click OK to proceed to your Workspace.

Troubleshooting

If the payment fails, you’ll see an error message.

Click Try again to return to the checkout page, verify your billing information, and retry the payment.

Please note that OWOX BI provides a pre-paid service. To guarantee uninterrupted service work, make sure you have sufficient funds on your payment card before a new billing period starts.

The terms of the plan may change over time. Yet, your subscription will be served based on the terms that were valid at the time you subscribed.

OWOX reserves the right to automatically change the plan terms, but only to make the terms more favorable to a user.
