When setting up scheduled refreshes, you have the option to receive email notifications for specific events, like update failures or all updates.
Note:Due to privacy and security reasons, notifications are sent to the user email used for granted access to GCP during the extension installation.
Many users often inquire about changing the email address for notifications, and in this article, we'll explore how to redirect these notifications to alternative email addresses.
Once you have configured the schedule in the Extension interface, you won't need to make any further adjustments within the interface. To reroute notifications to different email addresses, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open a new browser tab and log in to Gmail using the credentials of the user whose email is specified in the schedule settings.
Step 2: Start creating a new filter. This can be done in various ways, such as clicking on the Filters icon in the top search bar.
Step 3: In the opened window, specify "bi@owox.com" in the "From" field (1), and in the "Subject" field, enter "OWOX BI BigQuery Reports notification for" (2). Afterward, click the "Create filter" button.
Optionally, you can personalize this filter by adding the name of your document in the "Includes the words" field.
Step 4: At this stage, select "Forward it to..." from the list of actions and input the email addresses to which notifications from the Extension will be forwarded. Once done, click the "Create filter" button.
Test this filter and check that notifications are sent to the specified email addresses.
