May 15, 2020 — OWOX BI Pipeline. Yandex.Direct "Smart banner" campaigns data import is now fully supported

Starting today, both the Yandex.Direct → Google Analytics and Yandex.Direct → Google BigQuery pipelines detect and upload UTM tags for the "Smart banner" type ad campaigns.

Before today's update, this type of data wasn't imported by default due to Yandex.Direct API limitations. However, you could request the OWOX BI support team to activate limited Smart banner data import to a dedicated default source/medium/campaign.

Now, the pipelines accurately process UTM tags in your Smart banners and attribute them to relevant campaigns.

the Yandex.Direct → Google Analytics and Yandex.Direct → Google BigQuery pipelines upload Smart-banner data automatically starting May 14, 2020 — you don't need to set anything up additionally. The historical Smart-banner data before May 14 is uploaded for your subscription plan's actualization period.

If the utm tags in your campaigns contain errors, you'll get notifications about this on the pipeline page and in Data Monitoring.

Impressions data

The Yandex.Direct → Google Analytics pipeline does not import impressions data for Smart banner campaigns.

The Yandex.Direct → Google BigQuery does import impressions data.

Dynamic parameters

The Yandex.Direct → Google Analytics imports all the supported Yandex.Direct dynamic parameters for Smart banner campaigns.

The Yandex.Direct → Google BigQuery imports all the dynamic parameters, except these:

  • keyword
  • phrase_id
  • retargeting_id
  • adtarget_name
  • adtarget_id
