A pipeline is the total of imports for specific dates.

An import is the cost data from an advertising platform for a specific date, uploaded to Google Analytics.

Pipeline statuses

A pipeline can have one of these statuses:

  • Successfully сreated: the pipeline is created but the data is not imported yet
  • Active: the imports are proceeding normally
  • Paused: imports are paused by the user
  • Blocked: a user action is required to fix an error

Import statuses

Possible import statuses are described in the table below:

 Import status  Description
Upload complete Data was successfully uploaded to Google Analytics and is available to view in reports
Processing data The data was successfully uploaded to Google Analytics but is not yet available to view in reports
Error sending data An unknown error occurred while uploading data. Contact support for more information
Google Analytics API quota exceeded Google Analytics API limits have been reached while uploading
Google Analytics API error One of the Google Analytics API errors occurred while uploading
Access denied while sending data Authorization error occurred while uploading
Sending data Cost data upload to Google Analytics has been initiated
Waiting to send data Cost data were obtained from an advertising service and is queued to be sent to Google Analytics
Empty data Empty cost data in the advertising service for this date
Error receiving data An unknown error occurred while obtaining data. Contact support for more information
Advertising service API quota exceeded Advertising service API limits have been reached while obtaining data
Source service API error One of the advertising service API errors occurred while uploading
Access denied while receiving data Authorization error occurred while obtaining data. Check permissions/credentials
Receiving data Obtaining data from advertising service initiated
Waiting for data The task of obtaining cost data queued for execution
Data sending paused There is a problem with the Google Analytics settings: the data import set is not linked to the target view
Data receiving paused The pipeline was paused by the user
Update pending Data is queued to be updated in Google Analytics
Google Analytics limits exceeded The volume of uploaded cost data exceeds the Google Analytics limit of 90 Mb per date per data set. Due to this, OWOX BI Pipeline can't upload cost data to Google Analytics. We recommend appointing multiple representatives to your ad campaigns and setting up additional pipelines for data import.

 

Troubleshooting

You can fix most of the issues right in OWOX BI. To learn the reason of the issue, just click on the Blocked status on the pipeline list screen:

Or click on the Activate button on your pipeline page:

Then, follow the instructions to correct the issue.
